In today's session you were given an overview of audio editing using this software, including:
- Importing audio - original remains unaltered
- Selecting audio
- Processing selected audio - Cut, Copy and Paste
- Some of the many effects available were shown
- Overload and clipping
- Deleting unwanted sounds
- Cutting tracks
- Inserting silence between commentary links
- Slipping tracks along timeline
- Moving clips to other tracks
- Track resizing
- Envelope shaping to alter sound levels on timeline
- Mixing tracks (eg music and commentary)
- Zooming in down to sample level to alter the sample levels
- Saving a project to continue editing later - aup files, data files
- Exporting edited audio to WAV or MP3 format (latter requires LAME add-on)
